Eurobond develop new sealant

Eurobond introduces hydraulic sealer and pipe sealer for compressed air systems

Eurobond hydraulic sealer (EBA542)

Eurobond hydraulic sealer EBA542 is a thixotropic liquid that cures anaerobically to form a tough, high-pressure seal on all types of threaded couplings used on low-, medium- and high-pressure hydraulic lines. EBA542 hydraulic seal is said to be ideally suited for valves, threaded couplings, adaptors, quick disconnect parts, compression fittings and vibration proofing joints. Typical cure times of 10-10 minutes can be achieved dependant on the type of metals used. To help speed up the cure time Eurobond comments that the parts should be cleaned and local heat applied to the joints with a heat gun or soft flame. EBA542 is tolerant of a light oil film and will seal up to 400 bar on 20mm fittings. It also proofs joints against vibration and will tolerate temperatures of -55degC to + 150degC.

Eurobond pipe sealant (EBA567)

Eurobond pipe sealant (EB567) is a high performance anaerobic adhesive that seals and locks metal tapered pipe threads and fittings such as those used in air compressors. It is said to be ideally suited to stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, galvanised metal and other inert metals. According to Eurobond, EBA567 has excellent chemical resistance and can withstand temperatures from -50degC to 204degC. It provides an instant seal up to 1000psi and up to 10,000psi when fully cured. EBA567 is lubricated with active Teflon particles smoothing assembly and increasing sealing tightness, preventing escape of gas or other mediums. The locking action gives the parts vibration proof qualities and withstands changes in temperature and pressures. Cold temperatures will slow down the cure time but will not affect the instant seal.

Advantages of Eurobond pipe sealant (EBA567) at a glance:

·         Non shredding unlike PTFE tape.
·         Non hardening outside joint easy flush out.
·         No 'squeeze out' under pressure.
·         Seals to burst pressure of the pipes.
·         No corrosion in the joint.
